Questions and answers
Answers before you choose a setup.
Here is what the interview shows, where your answers go and what may cost extra later.

The interview
The interview is free and needs no account. You answer questions about your work, one at a time, and none about AI. After five questions you see a first result.
After level two, you receive your report. For that we need your email address; we send you a link that opens it. Your report shows where your work gets stuck, what success means to you and which first step is worth taking; what we do not know is listed openly. Each further level makes it more precise.
No. The interview asks about your work, not about AI. Every answer is saved the moment you give it, so you can stop any time and continue later, on another device too. You can also answer the first questions in conversation with our AI assistant (An AI assistant is a chat program such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Perplexity: you write in plain language, and a language model answers.).
Use the prompt from the earlier checks with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Perplexity. Your assistant asks the questions and produces a report, which you can email to us. Your inputs go to your assistant’s provider, whose privacy terms apply.
From level three, the questions are tailored to you: an AI model (A language model is the actual AI behind an AI assistant: it has learned from a great deal of text and writes an answer to an input.) by Anthropic (An AI provider runs language models and sells access to them, for example OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude) or Google (Gemini).) orders them to fit your answers so far, and from level five it writes new ones from your own words. Without the model, a fixed order applies.
The questions go deeper: who looks after your IT, where your data lives, which rules apply to it and what is off-limits. You decide how far you go; every answer makes your report more precise.
Any time: on the contact page, pick a time under ‘Talk to Jules’. The call takes 20 minutes and is free. In the interview, you can choose ‘Talk to Jules’ as early as level one and leave an email address or phone number. In the call, we look at where things get stuck and whether a package fits your project.
Data and approvals
The interview saves every answer the moment you give it: in your browser and on our server (A server is a computer that runs all the time and provides services to other devices, such as email, files or a website.), for 30 days, or 12 months once you have given an email address. You can delete it all at any time. From level three, your answers go to Anthropic so an AI model can order the questions; you can also continue without the model. Details are in the privacy notice.
In the earlier checks, your answers stay in your browser until you submit the report. You then receive a short version without your free-text answers. Jules Solutions receives the full report. A function at Vercel (Vercel is a US provider that runs websites and their server functions.) in Frankfurt processes the submission; we use Resend (Resend is a US service through which programs send emails; we use it for this website’s emails.) and Google Workspace for email. Data may reach the USA. Details are in the privacy notice.
Do not enter passwords, API keys (An API key is a secret access code that lets a workflow use a service such as a language model.), private keys, recovery codes, bank logins or tokens (For language models, a token is a piece of text, such as part of a word, by which usage is measured; for logins, a token is a digital key.). For confidential work, describe the process in broad terms. We ask how access is managed, not for the credentials themselves.
The working files in the installed vault (The vault is a folder of your working files on your computer; we create it from the vault template.) are on your machine. If you use a cloud model (The cloud means computers in a provider’s data centres on which programs run and data is kept, instead of on your own device.), its provider receives the content you send to it. We discuss which data you can use with it.
For confidential files, we assess whether a local or hybrid (Locally, the language model runs on your hardware; in a hybrid setup the working files stay local and only the excerpts needed go to a cloud model.) setup fits. We host our platform (The AI agents we build for your firm run on our platform. We host the platform in Switzerland; external models may process data elsewhere.) in Switzerland, but a cloud AI provider may process content you send it elsewhere. Before setup, we establish what goes to which provider. See ‘Data and processing’.
The written quote sets out how files are backed up, what availability you need and how you can retrieve your data.
That depends on the provider and your account. Under the terms available in October 2026, OpenAI, Anthropic and Google say they do not use inputs through paid API (An API is an interface through which one program uses the data or functions of another, without a screen or a mouse.) access for training by default. Anthropic says the same for business accounts such as Claude for Work. Free and personal accounts may have different terms. Check the terms for the account you will use.
If the chosen provider offers terms that exclude training on your inputs (In training, a language model learns from large amounts of text; some providers also use their users’ inputs for it.), we set up your access on those terms and show you the relevant clause before work begins.
If the model runs on your own hardware, your inputs are not sent to a model provider.
We work on your device on site or remotely, and we run remote sessions (With remote access, someone works on your device over the internet without being there, to set up a program for example.) only from Switzerland. We agree in advance which access we need and when we may use it. We keep credentials out of chats, storing them in 1Password (A password manager such as 1Password stores passwords and other credentials encrypted in one place.) or a designated local file, for example.
At handover, we remove our access. You then replace any credentials we knew.
Jules directs the AI agents (An AI agent carries out several steps of a defined task. A person decides before it sends anything outside your firm or spends money.) involved in building the setup. The written quote records what work content they send to which providers. Which data we build and test with depends on the project, and the quote records that too.
If your setup touches personal data you are responsible for, we sign a data processing agreement (A data processing agreement (DPA) sets out how a service provider handles personal data it receives on your behalf.) with you before work begins, as standard. Otherwise we sign one on request, as we do a non-disclosure agreement. If other specialists are involved, we tell you who they are beforehand.
No. Jules Solutions does not hold a data protection certification. The interview asks which rules apply to your data, such as Swiss data protection law (Switzerland’s Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) governs how firms and authorities may process personal data. The revised act took effect on 1 September 2023.), the GDPR, the rules of your industry or your customers’ requirements. We use your answers when considering a technical approach.
Not without a person’s approval (Approval means a person decides before an AI-prepared message goes outside your firm or money is spent.). Nothing we build sends a message outside your firm or spends money before a person has made the decision.
Packages and ongoing costs
Basic Installation (Basic Installation is our smallest package at CHF 490.–: an installed AI harness, a vault template and one or two basic workflows on your computer.): CHF 490.–. Pro Setup (Pro Setup is our recommended package at CHF 1'490.–: vault, workflows with AI agents, first integrations, an introduction session and three months of Business seat.): CHF 1'490.– (recommended). Operator System (Operator System is our package for teams at CHF 3'500.– to 5'000.–: the shared base with workflows for the team and connected systems.): CHF 3'500.– to 5'000.–, depending on scope. For a team, we recommend Operator System as the shared base, plus one Pro Setup per person. You pay once for setup. The interview and the call with Jules are free.
We give you a binding written quote before work begins. For Operator System, it states the exact price within the CHF 3'500.– to 5'000.– range.
You can compare the scope of all three packages on the Solutions page.
You pay once for the setup, at a fixed price. We put its scope and price in writing before work begins.
Running costs may include a Business seat (The Business seat is one person’s access to our platform (open alpha); Pro Setup includes three months, and with Operator System it is six per person.), if your package includes one and its included months have ended (CHF 199.– per person per month, or CHF 169.– a month billed yearly, which is CHF 2'028.– a year), model usage (Model usage means accessing an AI provider’s language model. The cost is not included in the setup price.) (charged according to usage) and separately agreed support (CHF 500.– to 2'000.– per month). Other licences may cost extra.
For model usage, here are two examples of business plans for two or more people, as of October 2026, depending on plan and billing: ChatGPT Business: CHF 15.– to 19.–; Claude Team: USD 20.– to 125.–, each per person per month. Usage beyond what a plan includes costs extra. You choose the provider. If you prefer, we manage your account with the AI provider or provide API keys where the provider’s licence allows it. We invoice you for the cost.
For an example of first-year costs, see ‘Additional costs’. ‘What does AI automation cost an SME? Setup and running costs’ shows how to calculate your costs using a worksheet.
Basic Installation gives you an installed AI harness (An AI harness is the workspace on your computer in which AI reads files and carries out agreed steps.), a vault template for working files on your machine, one or two basic workflows (A workflow specifies what information goes in, what happens to it and who checks the result.) and a handover document (The handover document records what we set up, how you work with it and how you back it up and restore it.).
With the recommended Pro Setup, we install additional software on your device and set up the vault and platform. We build multi-step workflows, initial connections to your systems and three to five commands (A command starts a defined workflow. In Pro Setup, we set up three to five commands for your work.) to run them. We show you how to use the setup, provide 30 days of follow-up support (Follow-up support means that questions and adjustments by email and phone are included for 30 days (Pro Setup) or 60 days (Operator System) after handover.) and include three months of platform access through a Business seat for one person.
Operator System is for businesses with their own team, existing systems or more complex integrations (An integration connects your setup to software you already use, such as your email inbox.). In a free call with Jules, you can discuss which package fits your work. For everything each package includes, see ‘What the setup price covers’.
No. Pro Setup still costs CHF 1'490.– after Basic Installation. It includes everything in Basic Installation, but we do not deduct what you paid for it.
Basic Installation and Pro Setup each cover one person on one device. Pro Setup includes a Business seat for that person for three months. One Business seat covers one person and their main device, plus their phone and a shared drive. On the phone, they use the setup through our app, and with Operator System also through the messenger service of your choice.
Operator System is what you need to work with a team. Everyone on the team who works with the system needs at least a Business seat, plus a Pro Setup if they would rather not do the setup themselves. One Pro Setup per person is recommended, not required. With Operator System, each person’s Business seat is included for six months instead of three. Your quote specifies how many people we set Operator System up for. The worked example for a team shows first-year costs for five people.
Start with a recurring task that passes between several people, such as copying details from emails into a spreadsheet. Your report from the interview shows where it pays to start and which package fits.
You can start with Pro Setup for one person. For a team, we recommend Operator System as the shared base, plus one Pro Setup per person.
To see how to trace a task from arrival to approval, read ‘AI for SMEs: examine the work before choosing a tool’.
No. The choice of AI harness, model and provider remains yours. Claude Code (Claude Code is an AI harness made by Anthropic: it runs on your computer, reads files and carries out steps you describe in plain language.) is an option, not a requirement. Your working files are in the installed vault on your machine. If you use a cloud model, we discuss what content goes to its provider.
In many cases, yes. We have already connected Bexio, Abacus, a transport management system and the MS Access database of a hand-built system, among many others. We first check your own systems to see whether a connection is possible and worthwhile. If we cannot help with your project, we will tell you.
The interview asks which software you use, such as Microsoft 365, SAP, Abacus or Bexio, and whether any of it is already connected. The written quote sets out what we agree to connect and which Excel files the workflow will use.
Check what your existing software can do before adding a connection. Read ‘The cheapest solution might already be installed’.
You do not have to buy a package. The interview and the call with Jules are free, and you keep your report. If we cannot help with your project, we will tell you.
Working together
Yes. If your team repeatedly copies details from emails and PDFs by hand, that work may be a good place to start with AI, whatever your sector. We know such tasks particularly well in commodity trading, logistics, forwarding, customs and compliance. The section ‘Four examples: what AI prepares and who checks it’ on the Solutions page shows four possible workflows.
No. We install the agreed setup and show your people how to use it. The handover document records what was installed and how the tools work together.
Staff do not need to write code. They start some workflows with a short command we set up. Others start when an email arrives.
AI prepares a draft. Your staff check it, correct it if needed and approve it. At handover, we show them how to start workflows and check the results.
They use whatever suits them: the AI harness on their device, the command line (The command line, also called the terminal, is a window in which you give the computer instructions by typing text instead of clicking.), a dashboard (A dashboard is an overview page, usually in the browser, that shows the state of tasks, results or figures at a glance.) or a desktop or web app. We set up what fits or use what you already have.
Installation on your device requires admin rights (Administrator rights allow you to install programs on a device and change settings for all its users.). Depending on the package, we install the chosen AI harness and other tools. We discuss with you which tools your IT team needs to approve.
The interview asks who looks after your IT and who else needs to be involved, such as an IT partner. If your IT partner handles installations, we send them the list of required tools and agree the approach with them.
The interview starts with five short questions, then up to ten about your task; how far you go after that is up to you. You can stop any time and continue later. A call with Jules takes 20 minutes and is free.
Handover takes about 1 day for Basic Installation, about 1 to 2 weeks for Pro Setup and about 3 to 6 weeks for Operator System. The quote fixes the date, so you know it before work begins.
Your contract is with Jules Solutions, a sole proprietorship in Meggen LU, founded and run by Jules. Its business address is Huobmattstrasse 5, 6045 Meggen LU. You can find all legal details in the imprint.
The AI harness runs on your device. Your working files are in the vault on that device, and the accounts with your chosen providers belong to you. The handover document records what we installed. So another IT professional can carry on with it.
Pro Setup and Operator System also include platform access through a Business seat for a limited period. If you do not renew the Business seat after the included period, platform access ends. Your working files in the vault remain on your machine. What keeps running without the Business seat depends on the setup; the written quote states it.
Your data, files and accounts with your chosen providers belong to you. You receive a licence to use the workflows, AI task instructions (A skill is a written instruction for a specific AI task, such as checking invoice details.) (skills) and commands we build for you. Jules Solutions retains the rights to that work. The written quote sets the terms of your licence.
For the first two weeks, your staff check every draft, internal ones included. Anything that goes outside your firm still needs a person’s approval after that. Before handover, we test the workflow with data agreed in the quote and, with your permission, on a sample of your documents.
Two weeks after handover, we review how the setup works in daily use and what needs adjusting; for Basic Installation, this is a single check-in. At this review, we measure the figure we recorded with you at the start a second time. Pro Setup includes 30 days of follow-up support and Operator System 60 days: questions and adjustments by email and phone.
After that, you can take out ongoing support (A retainer is a separate agreement for support after the included follow-up support, at CHF 500.– to 2'000.– per month.) as a separate agreement, at CHF 500.– to 2'000.– per month. It covers monitoring, basic maintenance, updates and one-to-one technical help within reason, such as finding a setting, getting something unstuck or giving advice.
Before handover, the checklist ‘Five questions before you commission AI automation’ helps you agree who looks after what afterwards.
Also worth reading: What if something stops working after handover?
If something stops working after handover, email info@jules.solutions. During follow-up support (30 days for Pro Setup, 60 days for Operator System), or under a separate support agreement, the following applies: You get a first response within 2 hours, and we start handling your request within 24 hours. When Jules is away, a partner stands in and keeps the same response times of 2 and 24 hours.
If the setup does not match the written quote, we correct it at no extra cost, with no deadline. That also applies to Basic Installation. If something stops working because of a mistake on our side, in the setup or after an update of ours, we fix it at no cost and with no deadline. We are happy to fix problems caused by changes you or third parties make, such as a plugin you installed yourselves, at the hourly rate in your written quote, and only after your go-ahead.
Jules describes his responsibility like this: ‘I stand behind what we built and take responsibility when something goes wrong.’
A workflow on your device runs only when the device is switched on. If its usual user is away, someone else with the necessary access can start it. If it needs to run without that device, we set out how in the written quote.
The working files in the vault remain on your machine. If an AI provider is unavailable, you can still open the files and do the work by hand.
If AI cannot read a document, the workflow flags it for a person to check rather than guessing missing details. The handover document explains how to restart it.
If a workflow fails after handover, email info@jules.solutions. For support after handover, see What if something stops working after handover?
The vault is a folder containing ordinary working files. The backup (A backup is a copy of your files in a second place, from which you restore data that was lost or damaged.) lives wherever you want it: on your own infrastructure, on ours or with a cloud provider of your choice. We document how to restore the vault on another device.
For Operator System, shared work lives in the shared project repository (A Git repository is storage for files that records every change with its date and author; GitHub is a well-known service for it.), on GitHub or on your own Git server, for example, or wherever you prefer; the vault stays each person’s own folder. We agree with you who can access the repository.
If someone leaves the team, you revoke their access to the vault, the AI provider and the platform. The handover document shows you how.
Jules is accountable for the work of Jules Solutions. He maps your workflows and directs the AI agents that build the system. Read more about our approach on the ‘About us’ page.
