Definition
A server usually sits in a data centre or a server room and has no screen of its own. Other devices reach it over the network or the internet. A program on a server can run around the clock, even while your own device is switched off.
What it means for you
A workflow (A workflow specifies what information goes in, what happens to it and who checks the result.) installed on your work computer runs only while that computer is on. If it needs to run independently, we specify the required setup in the quote.
