Who is responsible

The controller of your personal data is:

Send requests about data protection to privacy@jules.solutions. For anything else, write to info@jules.solutions.

In short

  • Both earlier checks run in your browser. Only what you choose to send reaches us.
  • Anthropic (An AI provider runs language models and sells access to them, for example OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude) or Google (Gemini).) generates the AI assistant (An AI assistant is a chat program such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Perplexity: you write in plain language, and a language model answers.)’s answers. We do not store the wording of the conversation on our servers (A server is a computer that runs all the time and provides services to other devices, such as email, files or a website.).
  • Google Analytics (Google Analytics (GA4) measures how visitors use a website; on this website only if you agree in the banner.) only runs if you agree in the banner.
  • You only receive the newsletter and tips by email if you choose them separately and confirm by email. Unsubscribing takes one click.
  • We do not sell data and we show no advertising.
  • We name every provider abroad below, with the safeguard for the transfer.
  • If you write to Jules in the direct chat, we keep the conversation for 7 days; Jules reads it through Telegram (A Telegram bot is a program that receives and answers messages in the Telegram messenger like a contact.).
  • The interview on the home page keeps your answers on our server so you can continue: 30 days, 12 months with an email address. From level 3 an AI model (A language model is the actual AI behind an AI assistant: it has learned from a great deal of text and writes an answer to an input.) by Anthropic orders the questions; you can continue without it.

Website and server logs

This website runs on Vercel (Vercel is a US provider that runs websites and their server functions.). The functions behind the forms and the assistant run in the Frankfurt data centre (EU). The connection to the website is encrypted (HTTPS).

To limit abuse, we count requests per sender for the contact form, the report emails, the assistant, requests for the do-it-yourself pack, newsletter sign-ups, account sign-ins and our own counter. For this we store a shortened hash of your IP address, not the address itself, and delete it within 15 minutes. Our own logs contain no content from messages, answers or forms.

What is stored in your browser

This website sets one cookie of its own: js_consent. It keeps your choice in the cookie banner for one year. Google Analytics adds its cookies only with your consent (see below). Your browser also keeps:

  • Your answers and results from both earlier checks, so nothing is lost when you reload. They stay until you restart a check or clear this website’s data in your browser.
  • The language you chose.
  • Your conversation with the AI assistant, until you close the tab, and the profile of your company from it with a random session number (valid for 30 days), until you choose «Delete conversation».
  • If you sign in to the account: your sign-in key (jules_account_v1), until you sign out or it expires after 30 days.
  • For the direct chat, a key to your conversation and messages not yet sent, until you close the tab.
  • For the interview, a key to your interview and a copy of your answers, until you choose «Delete my answers» or clear the site data in your browser.

Only your browser reads these entries. Of them, only what you send reaches us.

Contact form, email and phone

The contact form sends your details as one email to our mailbox info@jules.solutions, with your address as the reply address. It sends a short acknowledgement to your address. Your email address, name and company go into our contact record (see “Contact record and consents”). Before you send, you confirm that we may use your details to answer your enquiry.

Checks and reports

The two earlier checks (at /en/check-alt) run in your browser. Your answers and the result stay there until you send the report. How the interview on the home page saves your answers is set out in the next section.

When you send a report by email, or the report from the second check with ‘Send and continue to the call with Jules’: your browser sends your answers, your name, your company and your email address to our function at Vercel in Frankfurt. It builds the report and sends two emails through Resend. You receive a short version without your free-text answers and without your name. Our mailbox privacy@jules.solutions receives the full report with all your answers, your name, your company and your email address. The function stores none of it. If you send the report from your own email program, it reaches the same mailbox.

The checks score your answers automatically to show you the report. No machine makes a decision with legal effect for you.

If you answer the questions with your own AI assistant instead (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Perplexity), your input goes to that assistant’s provider, not to us. Only what you send us afterwards reaches us.

The interview and your saved answers

The interview on the home page saves every answer the moment you give it: in your browser and on our server. So you can stop any time and continue later, on another device too, and your answers make your report. You need no account for it.

If you give your email address, what is said under «Contact record and consents» and «Account, sign-in and continue links» applies as well, and a summary of your answers, your own words included, goes into our CRM (see «Client records (CRM)»). If you ask for a conversation with Jules, we send your email address or phone number and that summary through Resend to our mailbox info@jules.solutions. What is already there stays for the periods of those sections; if you delete your answers in the interview, we delete it too on request (see «Your rights»).

Through Telegram, Jules learns only that someone finished level 1, left an address or asked for a report, with the level, the path chosen and the language. He does not learn your answers, your name or your address that way. Against abuse we count requests per sender with a shortened hash of the IP address and delete it after 10 minutes at the latest.

The interview and the AI model

From level 3 a language model by Anthropic orders the next questions to fit your answers; from level 5 it writes new questions from your own words. Before that starts, the interview tells you what goes to Anthropic for it. If you choose «Continue without the AI model», a fixed order with our own follow-up questions applies, and nothing of yours goes to Anthropic. You can change the choice there again.

The provisional assumptions, such as whether figures or an example convince you more, are derived from your answers by our rules and the model. They only decide which questions come first. We do not show them as labels and do not use them to push you towards anything. One question in the interview asks you directly; your answer comes before any assumption. No machine makes a decision with legal effect for you here.

Your report (Where you stand) as a PDF

If you ask for your report as a PDF, our function at Vercel in Frankfurt creates it from your answers. A language model from Anthropic words the text: it receives your answers, including your free text, without your email address and without your IP address, and writes only the sentences; prices, facts and your answers are set by our template (A template is a prepared structure, for a document, an email or a folder for example, which you only complete for each case.) itself. If the model cannot be reached, the same report is made without that polish.

We store the PDF with Vercel Blob in Frankfurt. You get it through a link that expires after 30 days. We send it to an email address only after you have confirmed that address with one click, so no report ends up in someone else’s inbox. Our mailbox privacy@jules.solutions receives every version as well.

The AI assistant on this website

The assistant answers questions about Jules Solutions and what we offer, shows the parts of the page that go with the answer and, if you like, takes you through Where you stand as a conversation. From the conversation it puts together a profile of your company for you to check. Your messages go through our server to Anthropic, which generates the answers.

Our server replaces obvious secrets such as API keys (An API key is a secret access code that lets a workflow use a service such as a language model.), private keys and card numbers with a placeholder before a message goes to Anthropic. Even so, do not enter passwords or confidential data, and no personal data about other people, such as clients or staff.

If you name your company’s website or its name, the assistant asks whether it may look. If you say yes, our server reads the public page you named (at most 3 a day) and passes its text to Anthropic, which picks out the details about the company; the website sees our server, not you. For a name, Anthropic searches the web for the company (at most 2 searches a day), and you confirm whether the result is your company. Only public details about the company are taken, none about people, each with its source, and you decide on each one. Nothing of it stays on our servers; the details go into the profile in your browser.

With «Give a document» you can hand over a document about your company, a company profile as PDF or text, for example (at most 2 MB). Once you have agreed, our server takes out the text and passes it to Anthropic, which suggests details for your profile from it. We do not store the file or its text; the suggestions go into the profile in your browser, with the file name as their source. Do not hand over documents with personal data about other people.

If you choose «Send your details», we receive your name, your email address, your company and message if you give them, and the profile from the conversation with the sources of its details: by email to info@jules.solutions (sent through Resend) and in our client records. What is said under «Contact form, email and phone» and «Client records (CRM)» applies. Through Telegram, Jules learns only that a contact has arrived, without personal data.

With your first message the assistant opens a session of the direct chat (language, mode, page), so that Jules can take the conversation over if you or he want that. He does not see the content of your conversation with the assistant. If you choose «Write to Jules», what is said under «Direct chat with Jules» applies.

If Where you stand runs on the same page, the assistant suggests the details from your profile to it as answers, and you confirm or discard them there. They are stored like your other answers in Where you stand (see «Account, sign-in and continue links»).

The voice control beside the input is a preview: it switches on no microphone and records nothing.

If you go through Where you stand as a conversation, your browser builds the report just as with the form. It only reaches us if you send it (see above).

Direct chat with Jules

Through the chat on the contact page and at the foot of every page you can write to Jules directly. Jules reads and answers your messages through Telegram, and his replies appear in the chat.

Through Telegram, Jules learns of a support request only that it arrived, with the language, the way you chose (email or phone, not the address or number itself) and whether you sent the conversation along; of a message, only that one is waiting and how he can reach you. Once Jules has taken over the conversation, he sees your messages in Telegram word for word; our server first replaces any email addresses and phone numbers in them with placeholders. Everything else Jules opens through a secured link that is valid for 24 hours.

If Jules has taken over a conversation with the AI assistant, or the assistant is paused, your further messages in the assistant do not go to Anthropic but into this conversation, as a message to Jules.

Until you close the tab, your browser keeps a key to your conversation and, while the connection is down, messages not yet sent. To limit abuse we count the messages per sender with a shortened hash of the IP address and delete it after one hour at the latest.

If you give an email address in the chat, we note under a hash of that address, not the address itself, that your request is open. That way you receive no automated follow-up emails from us for the next 14 days. The note is deleted after 13 months at the latest.

Showing whether Jules is available

In the page header, at the foot of every page and on the contact page we show whether Jules is available right now. Your browser asks our server for the status. This creates only the usual server logs and, to limit abuse, a shortened hash of your IP address, which we delete after 15 minutes at the latest. The indicator says nothing about you and stores nothing in your browser.

Google Analytics, with your consent

A banner at the foot of the page asks whether we may use Google Analytics to count page views. Until you choose, nothing loads from Google. With ‘Decline’, nothing loads and the website works just the same.

You can change your choice at any time with ‘Cookie settings’ at the foot of every page. If you withdraw your consent, Google Analytics stops at once and its cookies are deleted.

Separately from the banner, our own server counts how often steps such as starting a check happen: with no cookie, no identifier and nothing about you.

The call with Jules through Cal.com

After the second of the earlier checks, you can book a call with Jules. The booking page is run by Cal.com (Cal.com is an online booking service; you book a call with Jules through it.).

So that you receive no unnecessary reminders from us after booking, we note the status of the booking (booked, rescheduled, cancelled) and the appointment under a hash of your email address. The note is deleted after 13 months at the latest.

WhatsApp

You can message us on WhatsApp at +41 78 669 48 48.

If you would rather not use WhatsApp, email or call us.

Internal notifications through Telegram

So that we can answer quickly, the website notifies us of new enquiries, sent reports and bookings through a Telegram bot.

For the direct chat, what is said under «Direct chat with Jules» applies as well.

Client records (CRM)

We keep enquiries, reports, bookings and contact details in a CRM. It is our own installation on our own hardware in Switzerland; no third party processes this data for us.

Launch raffle

If you send the report from the first of the earlier checks with your name, company and email address before the closing date and meet the raffle terms, you take part in the launch raffle.

Everything else is in the raffle terms.

Contact record and consents

When you give us your email address because you ask for something (an answer, a report, the do-it-yourself pack, the newsletter or a sign-in), we create a contact record. That way we know what you gave us the address for, and we keep you once, even if you come to us by several routes. Only your submit creates it; we do not store an address that was merely typed in.

Newsletter and tips by email

You only receive the newsletter if you tick the optional box, choose “Accept all” or sign up explicitly, and then click the link in our confirmation email (double opt-in). It comes once a month; the German and the English edition are separate lists. The same consent covers, after a request, up to three emails with tips on it in the first ten days or so; Jules approves the text of each of these emails before it first goes out. The newsletter is never needed for a report, the pack or an answer.

Sending emails, delivery reports and approval

Every email the website sends is first stored as a job in our database. That way none goes out twice, and a failed one is retried a few times. Resend tells us whether an email was delivered, bounced or was reported as spam; we send no more marketing to such addresses. Jules approves the text of every marketing email before it first goes out. Through Telegram we only learn how many emails of which kind are waiting, no addresses.

Account, sign-in and continue links

An account is optional. You sign in with a link we send to your email address; there is no password. The link works for 30 minutes and once. After that your browser keeps you signed in for 30 days (see “What is stored in your browser”). In the account you see what we store for your address, download everything as a file or delete it.

If you give your email address in the interview so that you can continue later, we send you a link that opens your saved answers, on another device too. It works for 30 days. Anyone with the link can see your answers, so please do not forward it. Saved answers without an email address are deleted after 30 days, those with an address twelve months after the last contact. We make no audio recordings.

We do not send your report as an attachment unasked. You receive an email with a link; the click confirms your address and opens the report on this website. We only send it as a PDF if you ask for that there, and only to that confirmed address. The link works for 30 days.

Signing in protects access to your details. It does not make them more private: anyone with access to your mailbox can sign in.

Do-it-yourself pack

The do-it-yourself pack is free. You get it through a link we email to your address: the click confirms the address and starts the download. The link works for 30 days. You receive no further emails because of it, unless you choose the newsletter.

The pack includes an optional small helper for Claude Code (Claude Code is an AI harness made by Anthropic: it runs on your computer, reads files and carries out steps you describe in plain language.). It only runs if you set it up yourself on your computer, sends us nothing and keeps nothing of yours.

Transfers abroad

Some providers process data outside Switzerland, including in the USA. We only transfer personal data there if the country offers adequate protection or a safeguard under the FADP is in place:

  • Vercel, Resend, Upstash, Anthropic and Cal.com: the EU standard contractual clauses with the adaptations for Switzerland (Art. 16(2)(d) FADP).
  • Google (Google Workspace and Google Analytics): the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, otherwise the EU standard contractual clauses.
  • WhatsApp and Telegram process data under their own terms, also outside Switzerland. You only use WhatsApp if you choose to, and through Telegram we pass on only the details named above.
  • Upstash stores the direct chat’s data and our counters in its data centre in Frankfurt (EU).

Your rights

You can ask which personal data we process about you, have incorrect data corrected and have your data deleted. You can object to processing, withdraw your consent and ask for your data in a common format. Write to privacy@jules.solutions. We answer within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity. Statutory retention duties may prevent deletion.

Supervisory authority

The supervisory authority in Switzerland is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC (The FDPIC, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (EDÖB in German), supervises compliance with Swiss data protection law.)), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, edoeb.admin.ch. If you live in the EU, you can also contact the supervisory authority where you live.

Changes

If the way we process personal data changes, we update this notice. The version on this page applies.
