Data processing agreement (DPA)

Definition

Under Swiss data protection law, a service provider may process personal data on your behalf only as you yourself would be allowed to. The agreement records what it may use the data for, how it protects the data and what happens to the data after the job. In Switzerland it is called an Auftragsbearbeitungsvertrag (ABV).

What it means for you

If your setup touches personal data you are responsible for, we sign a data processing agreement with you before work begins, as standard. Otherwise we sign one on request.
