Administrator rights (admin rights)

Definition

An ordinary user account may use programs but usually cannot install new ones. That requires an account with administrator rights, in many firms the account of the IT team or the IT partner.

What it means for you

Installation on your device requires administrator rights or your IT partner’s approval (Approval means a person decides before an AI-prepared message goes outside your firm or money is spent.). The interview asks who looks after your IT.
