Way 03 · Fix It
There is usually a reason it does that.
We find the failure points and agree a path back to something dependable.
What it is for
‘The process breaks, and nobody knows why.’
‘An AI built us a project. It still will not go live.’
‘Our old system has run for years. Nobody wants to change it blind.’
‘The person who understood the system has left.’
What we do
First the check, then the repair. One price for ‘rescue my project’ would be a guess, so the check and its findings come first.
Diagnosis and technical archaeology
We read what is there: the code, the settings and the notes of whoever built it, if there are any. Then we know how it really works today, not just how it was meant to.
Troubleshooting and system recovery
We find out why it broke, fix it and write the fix into the system so it holds.
Simplification and technical debt reduction
We repair what you have or add what it is missing, so you keep what you already paid for. What runs twice or nobody understands any more, we simplify.
Migration planning and risk review
An old system moves, or gets an interface. Before anything moves, it is clear what could go wrong on the way.
The services in detail
It exists, but it is broken, half finished, or nobody can maintain it. These services repair it, simplify it or rescue it.
Diagnosis and technical archaeology
Rescue an AI-built project
Someone experienced reads what an AI built for you and tells you honestly what it needs. Then it goes live and stays maintainable.
You get
- Written findings: what it needs, said honestly
- A plan and a quote for the repair, based on the findings
- Then a project that is live and stays maintainable
What we need from you
The code, and honesty about what has already been tried.
Troubleshooting and system recovery
A process that keeps breaking
One specific problem you want fixed. Sometimes the answer is a good script in the right place.
You get
- The cause, narrowed down and explained
- The fix, written into the system so it holds
What we need from you
Access to the system, and a description of where it happens and how often.
Simplification and technical debt reduction
Check an existing AI setup
You already work with AI, set up by you or by someone else. We check it and improve it where needed, or move it into a clean vault (The vault is a folder of your working files on your computer; we create it from the vault template.).
You get
- Findings on your setup
- Improvements where they are needed, or the move into a vault
What we need from you
Access to your existing setup.
Migration planning and risk review
Replace or connect an old system
The old system moves to something that can be maintained. Or it stays where it is and gets an interface your other software can work with.
You get
- A plan for the move or the connection, with its risks, before anything moves
- The old system moved or connected
What we need from you
Access to the old system, and somebody who remembers how it works.
Example
From practice
We have already connected the MS Access database of a hand-built system, for example.
One container number on every paper
An example, not a client case
One container number travels from the transport order to the arrival notice to the customs order, and every paper needs it. Every time somebody types it again is a chance to get it wrong.
With Fix It (Fix It is one of our five ways of working: make sense of what is there and find a sensible path back to something dependable.), we look for the handover where it breaks and simplify it: the number is entered once and travels on from there.
And the Setup?
Works without a Setup
No Setup needed, and we also repair what others built, with AI or by hand.
What you end up with
Written findings, the cause narrowed down and an agreed path back to something dependable. After the repair, the fix is written into the system so it holds.
If something stops working because of a mistake on our side, in the setup or after an update of ours, we fix it at no cost and with no deadline. You do not need Fix It for that.
Price
By scope, in two steps: first the check, then the repair. Both are in a binding written quote before we start.
How to start
Four ways in, from the free interview to a written request. You choose how much you tell us first.

FAQ
Questions about Fix It
What if something stops working after handover?
If something stops working after handover, email info@jules.solutions. During follow-up support (Follow-up support means that questions and adjustments by email and phone are included for 30 days (Pro Setup) or 60 days (Operator System) after handover.) (30 days for Pro Setup (Pro Setup is our recommended package at CHF 1'490.–: vault, workflows with AI agents, first integrations, an introduction session and three months of Business seat.), 60 days for Operator System (Operator System is our package for teams at CHF 3'500.– to 5'000.–: the shared base with workflows for the team and connected systems.)), or under a separate support agreement (A retainer is a separate agreement for support after the included follow-up support, at CHF 500.– to 2'000.– per month.), the following applies: You get a first response within 2 hours, and we start handling your request within 24 hours. When Jules is away, a partner stands in and keeps the same response times of 2 and 24 hours.
If the setup does not match the written quote, we correct it at no extra cost, with no deadline. That also applies to Basic Installation (Basic Installation is our smallest package at CHF 490.–: an installed AI harness, a vault template and one or two basic workflows on your computer.). If something stops working because of a mistake on our side, in the setup or after an update of ours, we fix it at no cost and with no deadline. We are happy to fix problems caused by changes you or third parties make, such as a plugin you installed yourselves, at the hourly rate in your written quote, and only after your go-ahead.
Jules describes his responsibility like this: ‘I stand behind what we built and take responsibility when something goes wrong.’
What if an AI provider is unavailable or cannot read a document?
The working files in the vault remain on your machine. If an AI provider (An AI provider runs language models and sells access to them, for example OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude) or Google (Gemini).) is unavailable, you can still open the files and do the work by hand.
If AI cannot read a document, the workflow (A workflow specifies what information goes in, what happens to it and who checks the result.) flags it for a person to check rather than guessing missing details. The handover document (The handover document records what we set up, how you work with it and how you back it up and restore it.) explains how to restart it.
If a workflow fails after handover, email info@jules.solutions. For support after handover, see What if something stops working after handover?
Can you connect the setup to our existing software?
In many cases, yes. We have already connected Bexio, Abacus, a transport management system and the MS Access database of a hand-built system, among many others. We first check your own systems to see whether a connection is possible and worthwhile. If we cannot help with your project, we will tell you.
The interview asks which software you use, such as Microsoft 365, SAP, Abacus or Bexio, and whether any of it is already connected. The written quote sets out what we agree to connect and which Excel files the workflow will use.
Check what your existing software can do before adding a connection. Read ‘The cheapest solution might already be installed’.
What access do you need for setup, and what happens to it after handover?
We work on your device on site or remotely, and we run remote sessions (With remote access, someone works on your device over the internet without being there, to set up a program for example.) only from Switzerland. We agree in advance which access we need and when we may use it. We keep credentials out of chats, storing them in 1Password (A password manager such as 1Password stores passwords and other credentials encrypted in one place.) or a designated local file, for example.
At handover, we remove our access. You then replace any credentials we knew.
Jules directs the AI agents (An AI agent carries out several steps of a defined task. A person decides before it sends anything outside your firm or spends money.) involved in building the setup. The written quote records what work content they send to which providers. Which data we build and test with depends on the project, and the quote records that too.
If your setup touches personal data you are responsible for, we sign a data processing agreement (A data processing agreement (DPA) sets out how a service provider handles personal data it receives on your behalf.) with you before work begins, as standard. Otherwise we sign one on request, as we do a non-disclosure agreement. If other specialists are involved, we tell you who they are beforehand.
Is this also for businesses outside trading and logistics?
Yes. If your team repeatedly copies details from emails and PDFs by hand, that work may be a good place to start with AI, whatever your sector. We know such tasks particularly well in commodity trading, logistics, forwarding, customs and compliance. The section ‘Four examples: what AI prepares and who checks it’ on the Solutions page shows four possible workflows.
