FDPIC (EDÖB)

The FDPIC, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (EDÖB in German), supervises compliance with Swiss data protection law.

Definition

The FDPIC advises firms and individuals, investigates breaches of data protection law and can order measures. Firms must report certain data security breaches to the FDPIC.
