Definition
Context includes the question, earlier messages in the conversation and the files or excerpts sent along. Whatever is not in the context, the model does not know for that request.
The context window is measured in tokens. If a document is too long, the model reads only part of it, or the tool selects suitable excerpts.
What it means for you
If you use a cloud model (The cloud means computers in a provider’s data centres on which programs run and data is kept, instead of on your own device.), its provider receives the content you send to it. We discuss with you which data you can use with it.
